U.S. Senator Ron Johnson

Ron Johnson is serving his second six-year term as a U.S. Senator That term is up in 2022 and Johnson has said that he will not run for another term. A Republican, Johnson has been a consistent voice for right-wing conservative policies in Congress.

He was first elected with 52% of the vote in 2010. The win was considered an upset as he defeated incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold. In 2016 he again faced Feingold and again won, but by a smaller margin (50.2%).

Johnson is chair of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and also serves on the Budget, Foreign Relations, and Commerce, Science and Transportation committees.  He resides in Oshkosh with his wife Jane and their children.
