Healthcare/Women’s Health

Healthcare in the United States is a major polarizing issue, with three issues dominating the dialog. The first is health insurance, with the United States being the only major industrialized nation without some form of universal health coverage. The second is women’s health care with a women’s right to make decisions about her body being the flashpoint. The third issue is the often crippling impact of drug prices. Of course there are dozens of other healthcare issues, like the continued disappearance of healthcare facilities and practitioners in rural areas and the opeoid crisis thay daily kills more people than automobile. All of these issues and others need to be on our radar screens.

Recent New York bill on abortion anticipates Roe vs Wade reversal

This is scary. It is scary any time a candidate for public office, especially for a judicial post, has extreme view. Doesn't matter if they are on the left or right. Extremism is not healthy. The Journal Sentinel is reporting that Brian Hagedorn, a candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, has blog postings from 2005 that suggest a judicial focus that is clearly far, far right.  Keep reading ...
