NPR offers way to filter out fake news

Being a discerning gather of fake news is critical these days when information that is wrong, inaccurate, or a lie is allowed to flow into our information channels. National Public Radio offers suggestions for filtering out the fake stuff, leaving room for the what is real, honest, and accurate.  The title of its article is “Fake News Is Scary: How To Spot Misinformation.”

Twitter bans political advertising; will this hurt candidates seeking local offices?

In a major and controversial move, Twitter on Tuesday effectively banned all political advertising. While many critics of social media are applauding the move, others are suggesting that the move will hurt many candidates running in local elections because they will be forced to spend limited advertising dollars on more expensive outlets, such as television.
