Green Lake County Dems & Friends will be out in force next weekend, Nov. 2 and 3, surveying residents on the issues that matter most to them. This is a continuation of the surveying done this summer at the Green Lake County Fair.

Chair Linda Wilkens says that members and friends will be knocking on doors in Princeton, Berlin, Green Lake, and Markesan.

“While there are tons of surveys being done by different organizations and groups to gain a better perspective on these critical issues, all of that work is national or state oriented. We want to know what the issues are in Green Lake County.”

At the Fair this summer, the top issues, according to those who participated in the survey process, were health care and the environment. “Our survey this summer was not a scientifically accurate survey, nor was it intended to be. We were having fun talking to people and we want to do that again on Saturday and Sunday.

“We won’t be promoting any candidates or policy positions,” concluded Wilkens.

Wilkens says that anyone who is interested in participating in the surveying this weekend can do so by contacting the organization via email.

“We’re looking for people willing to go door to door using lists that we’re creating, drivers to help people get around the various communities, and people who can help us tabulate the information. All are welcome.”
