Green Lake County Democratic PartyPromoting the Ideals of the Democratic Party and its Candidates
Since 1848, the Democratic National Committee has been the home of the Democratic Party, the oldest continuing party in the United States. Today we are millions of supporters strong, fighting for progress and helping elect Democrats across the country to state government, Congress, and the White House.
For example, here in Green Lake County, we worked hard to help elect our new Wisconsin governor, Tony Evers; new lieutenant governor, Mandela Barnes; new attorney general Josh Kaul; new treasurer, Sarah Godlewski; and re-elect state secretary Doug La Follette. And we actively supported the candidacy of U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin. In all, Democrats won every major statewide office in 2018, in a strong repudiation of former Governor Scott Walker and the Republican Party.
We also worked hard to help Dan Kohl battle incumbent Glen Grothman for the 6th Congressional Seat in Congress, and Frank Buress, who took on incumbent Joan Ballweg for the State Assembly (41st District).
There are several core beliefs that tie our party together: Democrats believe that we’re greater together than we are on our own—that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same rules. Our party is focused on building an economy that lifts up all Americans, not just those at the top.
That’s why Democrats are working to make progress on issues like job creation, equal pay, education, health care, and clean energy. View the Democratic Party Platform.
