There was no public attendance at last night’s League of Women Voters of the Ripon Area candidates’ forum due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you are interested in hearing from one of the Republicans who may be Nate Zimndars’ opponent in November, check out this YouTube video of last night’s 41st Assembly District candidate’s forum, hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Ripon Area and the Five County Tobacco Free Coalition:

The forum, which was broadcast live on Spectrum channel 986, featured two of the four Republicans facing off in the Aug. 11 partisan primary: Luke Dretske and Gary Will. The winner of the Aug. 11 primary will face Democrat Nate Zimdars and Independent Jean Bartz in the Nov. 3 general election. The other two Republicans on the ballot in August declined to participate in last night’s forum.

Ellen Sorensen of the League served as the moderator and Cal Edwards, chair of the League’s Voter Service committee functioned as the timekeeper. Questions for the candidates came from the general public.
